Custom business systems

Your business, run from one screen.

Orders, stock, accounts and the cashier in a system built around the way you already work - on the counter, on the laptop, and on every phone as an app.

Not a template. Your workflow, on a screen.

We sit with the people who do the work, then build the screens they need and nothing they do not.

What goes into it

Pick the parts your business needs. Each one is built for you, not switched on in a settings page.

  • Orders and customers

Every order from the first call to the delivery, with who asked for what and when.

  • Accounts that add up

What each customer paid and still owes, payments in instalments, and a daily cash count that has to match.

  • A cashier mode

A fast counter screen for walk-in sales, receipts, and closing the drawer at night.

  • Stock and QR labels

Printed labels you scan to receive, pack and hand over, so the stock count stays true.

  • An app on every phone

It installs from the browser on iPhone and Android, with notifications, and nothing to download from a store.

  • Roles and a full history

Each person sees only their part, every change is logged, and the data is backed up every day.

How a system gets built

  1. We listen

A conversation with you and the people who will use it, and a written list of what it must do.

  2. You see it early

A working version on your own data as soon as the first screens exist, not a slideshow.

  3. We finish it with you

Changes go in while your team uses it, until the day it runs the business without the old way.

  4. We keep it running

It lives on our servers with backups, monitoring and security updates, and we stay the people you call.

Everything a system can cover, mapped

Five areas, each with the parts a business like yours usually asks for. Take the ones you need and leave the rest out.

At the counter

What the person facing the customer works with.

  • Walk-in sales

A quick screen for a sale that starts and ends at the counter.

  • Receipts

A receipt for every walk-in sale.

  • Closing the drawer

The cash counted at night against what the system expects.

In the back office

Where orders, customers and money are followed.

  • Order tracking

Every order with its customer, its state and its history.

  • Customer accounts

The orders, payments and balance of each customer in one place.

  • Payments and instalments

Every payment is a line in a ledger, so what is owed is never a guess.

  • Dated price lists

A catalogue whose prices are set with a date.

Stock and delivery

Where the goods move.

  • Batches of work

Jobs grouped into batches, each with its own QR labels.

  • QR labels

Printed labels scanned to receive, pack and hand over.

  • Stock counts

Stock that moves with every scan, so the count stays true.

  • Handover

A scan at delivery closes the order.

On every screen

The same system wherever your people are.

  • Installs from the browser

On iPhone and Android, with nothing to download from a store.

  • Notifications

A new order shows up as a notification on the phone.

  • Counter, laptop and phone

One set of data behind every screen.

Underneath

What keeps it safe and accountable.

  • Roles

Each person sees only their part.

  • Change history

Every change is logged, so nothing changes silently.

  • Run by us

It lives on our servers with backups, monitoring and security updates.

All of these already run together in one live system we built and operate. See it in our work

A custom business system, which is what this page describes. Tell us how you work today and we quote it after we understand it.

Staff or customers alerted on their phones

An installed web app with notifications. On iPhone the person adds it to the Home Screen (iOS and iPadOS 16.4 or later) and taps to allow notifications. On Android the browser offers to install it.

Parcels, shelves or receipts scanned with a phone

QR labels read through the camera of the phone. A browser opens the camera only on a secure page and only after the person allows it, and support for reading codes differs between phones, so tell us which phones your team uses.

A counter that sometimes loses its connection

Say so before anything is built. Browsers can keep a screen available and send saved actions later, but not every browser supports the sending part, so what may be done without a connection is worked out with you, not assumed.

Live screens or chat that stay open all day

A small Node.js service beside the system, sharing its database. The Node.js page explains which jobs suit which language.

A ready-made shop or content site instead of a custom system

A platform such as WordPress with WooCommerce, on hosting made for it.
