Scheduled social publishing

A month of posts, out on time, every time.

Plan your posts for X and Snapchat once, approve each one, and let them publish at the hours your audience is actually awake.

Your week, already written

Every post has a day, an hour and a state. You see the whole plan at a glance, and so does anyone who helps you.

Nothing is published that a person has not read and approved.
  1. 01The post is written - by you, or by us from your brief
  2. 02It waits as a draft until someone approves it
  3. 03Approved, it takes its slot in the calendar
  4. 04It publishes on the minute, with its image or video

What you get

  • One calendar for X and Snapchat

Both accounts planned side by side, so a campaign lands on both on the same day.

  • The right hour

Posts go out when your followers read, not when someone remembers to press send.

  • Media that arrives intact

Images and videos are checked before their slot, so a post never goes out with a broken attachment.

  • A record of what went out

Every published post is kept with its time and its link, so you know what ran and when.

How a scheduled plan compares with doing it by hand

The plan itself is the easy part. What differs is who has to be awake at the hour, who checks each post, and what is left as a record afterwards.

Three ways to run a posting plan for X and Snapchat, compared row by row: posting by hand, a spreadsheet with reminders, and scheduled publishing with approval.
What you need By hand, when someone remembersA spreadsheet and remindersScheduled publishing by EGPHP
Both accounts in one plan No Two apps, two separate feeds; the plan lives in someone's head. Partly One sheet lists both, but the posts still live in each app. Yes One calendar for X and Snapchat, side by side.
Out at the planned minute No Someone has to be at the phone at that hour. No The sheet can remind a person, who still has to press send. Yes Published on the minute, with no one needed at a screen.
A person approves first Partly Only if the writer re-reads the post before pressing send. Partly Only if someone remembers to mark the row as approved. Yes Nothing publishes until a person has read and approved it.
Media checked before its slot No A broken image shows only once the post is live. No The sheet holds a file name, not the file. Yes Images and videos are checked before their slot.
A record of what ran No You scroll back through each feed to find out. Partly Only what someone typed in afterwards. Yes Every published post is kept with its time and its link.

Good to know about X: a post can carry up to four photos, one animated GIF or one video, and the longest video allowed depends on the account that posts it, so a check before the slot is worth having. As documented, the call that creates a post on X publishes at once and takes no future time, so a scheduler has to hold the post itself and send it at its minute.

X developer documentation: media X developer documentation: creating a post These are general facts from X's own documentation. They can change, so the linked pages are the final word.

Which way is right for you?

Read each row from your situation to what suits it best. Scheduled publishing is not the answer to everything, and some rows say so.
