Email Server Settings

Use these settings to configure any email client:

Setting Value
Email Address your-email@yourdomain.com
Username your-email@yourdomain.com (full email)
Password Your email password
Incoming Server (IMAP) mail.yourdomain.com, Port 993, SSL
Incoming Server (POP3) mail.yourdomain.com, Port 995, SSL
Outgoing Server (SMTP) mail.yourdomain.com, Port 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS)
IMAP vs POP3: Use IMAP to sync emails across multiple devices. POP3 downloads emails to one device only.

Microsoft Outlook (Desktop)

  1. Open Outlook and go to FileAdd Account
  2. Enter your email address and click Connect
  3. If auto-config fails, select Manual setup
  4. Choose IMAP
  5. Enter the incoming and outgoing server settings from above
  6. Enter your password and click Connect

Gmail (Android/iOS)

  1. Open Gmail app and tap your profile picture
  2. Tap Add another account
  3. Select Other
  4. Enter your full email address
  5. Select Personal (IMAP)
  6. Enter password and server settings
  7. Complete the setup

Apple Mail (Mac)

  1. Open Mail and go to MailAdd Account
  2. Select Other Mail Account
  3. Enter name, email, and password
  4. Click Sign In
  5. If manual config needed, enter server settings
  6. Click Sign In to complete

iPhone/iPad (iOS Mail)

  1. Go to SettingsMailAccounts
  2. Tap Add AccountOther
  3. Tap Add Mail Account
  4. Enter name, email, password, and description
  5. Tap Next
  6. Select IMAP
  7. Enter incoming and outgoing server settings
  8. Tap Save

Thunderbird

  1. Open Thunderbird and click Email
  2. Enter your name, email, and password
  3. Click Continue
  4. Select Manual config if auto-detection fails
  5. Enter IMAP and SMTP settings
  6. Click Done

Troubleshooting

Authentication Failed

  • Verify your email and password are correct
  • Ensure username is the full email address
  • Check if the email account exists in EGPNL

Cannot Connect to Server

  • Verify server hostname is correct
  • Check port numbers and encryption type
  • Try alternative ports (465 or 587 for SMTP)

Emails Not Sending

  • Ensure SMTP authentication is enabled
  • Check outgoing server settings
  • Verify SSL/TLS is enabled
Firewall: Some networks block email ports. Try using port 587 with TLS if port 465 doesn't work.
